wjccThe 2010 World Juniors and Girls U-20 Chess Championships will be held from August 2 (arrival day) to 17 (departure day) at Chotowa, Municipality Czarna, close to the city of Tarnow in Poland.

After 8 rounds the Junior section GM Dmitry Andreikin is leading the event with 6,5/8. He is closely followed by his compatriots GM Sanan Sjugirov, GM Maxim Matlakov, as well as GM Emilio Cordova, GM Jon Ludvig Hammer, GM Ivan Saric, and GM Parimarjan Negi, all with 6,0/8.

The girls section is led by IM Anna Muzychuk with 7,0/8, followed by WIM Nafisa Muminova and WGM Sopiko Guramishvili with 6,5/8.

The competition is a 13 rounds Swiss system. Games can be followed on the official site.
