On the 9th of August there was a working meeting of the FIDE President with the representatives of the Cyprus Chess Federation, with Federation's President Christoforos Tornaritis, General Secretary Paris Klerides, Treasurer Constantinos Papatryfonos, Rating Manager Pegasios Hadjinikolaou as well as representatives of chess clubs from Limasol, Larnaca, Famagosia. The FIDE President has informed the audience of the course of the preparations for the 39th Chess Olympiad and the 81st FIDE Congress. There was an interesting and sincere exchange of opinions on the most important issues of chess life and problems which the Cyprus Federation is facing.
