Kirsan Ilyumzhinov opens World Junior and Girls U-20 Chess Championships Print

On Monday, August 2, FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov arrived to Poland to take part in the opening ceremony of the World Junior and Girls U-20 Chess Championships. About 200 chess players from 56 countries participate in this championship. The opening ceremony was visited by the State Secretary of the Ministry of the State Treasury of Poland, Jan Bury, Chairman of Organizing Committee, Mayor of Czarna, Jozef Chudy, President of Polish Chess Federation Tomasz Sielicki and by other officials. The Chief Arbiter of the championship is the Chairman of FIDE Technical Commission Andrzej Filipowicz.
