 On Friday, July the 10th, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov met with the undisputed junior welterweight World Champion boxer Konstantin Tszyu in Elista, Republic of Kalmykia. The Head of Kalmykia informed Konstantin Tszyu on the development of chess in Kalmykia, as well as on other sports projects supported in the republic. In particular Kirsan Ilyumzhinov told about Chessboxing tournament which was held in Kalmykia.
"The purpose of my actions - is to help developing children's sports in Russia by organizing the projects on construction of multi-sports facilities. We shall have "Warm-up with champions» event which also has been held in the stadiums of various cities in Russia ", - said Konstantin Tszyu to the reporters on arrival in Elista.
