![]() Favourites India, with a much smaller delegation took a very credible second with 6 gold, 5 silver and 7 bronze medals while Indonesia took third place with 3 gold, 5 silver and 7 bronze medals. The Open U-17 section was the hardest fought, with the medal winners only separated by tie-break with FM Terry Chua emerging champion. WFM Bhakti Kulkarni was the top finisher amongst the girls and was declared Girls U-17 champion. In the Open U-15, top seed CM Daniel Chan (SIN) who started badly put together a string of impressive wins against his rivals to edge Timothy Chan (SIN) on tiebreak after long time leader Shen Chuan-Qi (SIN) was upset in the last round. The Girls U-15 was much less dramatic with WIM Cori T Deysi (PER) cruising home with two rounds to spare. In the Open U-13, Cori Jorge (PER), rated 2381, was an impressive winner, only dropping his last round game when already champion. Things were much closer in the Girls U-13 with Shite Chelsie Monica (INA) catching Anjana Krishna S (IND) and then beating her on tie-break to take the honours. In the Open U-11, Sanal Vahap (TUR) was a runaway winner as was the case in the Girls U-11 where Medina Warda Aulia (INA) also posted an 8.5/9 score to win with one round to go. Very young talent was on show in the Open U-9 and Girls U-9 with Arjun Bharat (IND) making a perfect score while and Ivana Maria Furtado (IND) had a hiccup before finally emerging champion. In the Open U-7, Acosta Cubides Jorian Jared (COL) edged out Nathan Mar (SIN) by the smallest of tie-breaks but in the Girls U-7 it was a different story with Bansi Prathima Muthyala (IND) dominating her competition with 9/9.
