Geoffrey D. Borg, CEO of Global Chess BV (the marketing arm of FIDE) made a presentation titled "Chess Sponsorship" upon the invitation of Is Bank ,the main sponsor of the Turkish Chess Federation in the second International Sports Marketing and Sponsorship Congress" held in Istanbul,Turkey on May 28. Mr. Borg's presentation included an overview of the chess sponsorship and the organization of the chess world. 

Borg, then reflected upon Türkiye Is Bank's sponsorship with the Turkish Chess Federation as an outside party, examining the sponsorship project from an objective perspective and analyzing the benefits of the sponsorship for both parties.
