IMSA World Masters Championship begins in Hengshui Print

The International Mind Sports Association World Masters Championship is taking place in Hengshui, China from 13th till 18th of May. It includes 5 sports - bridge, chess, draughts, go, and xiangqi - with 17 disciplines in total, and gathers 170 players from 36 countries.

Chess part of IMSA Masters 2019 consists of rapid and blitz tournaments in open and women sections and gathered a solid line-up. Rating favorites are Wang Hao in rapid, Andreikin in blitz and Lei Tingjie in both women tournaments. Rapid championships will be held from 14th till 16th while Blitz tournaments are scheduled for 17-18 of May. The prize fund in open tournaments is 150,000 EUR and 100,000 EUR is the prize fund in women events.

Gata Kamsky (USA) and Jovanka Houska (ENG) will be the commentators of the Championships.
