FIDE congratulates General Secretary Abraham Tolentino (left) for his election as Chairman of the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) at elections on 23rd February in Manila together with Boxing chief Ricky Vargas (right) who was elected President of the POC.

Tolentino, Tagaytay City Representative, cycling chief and also Secretary General of the National Chess Federation of the Philippines, won handily the POC chairmanship where he defeated the table tennis head, 23-15.
