FIDE Online Arena updates its daily tournament schedule

FIDE Online Arena is updating its daily tournament schedule. More Rapid, Blitz and bullet tournaments are available for FIDE and Platinum members. The new program is enriched with thematic tournaments, chess Marathons and occasionally special competitions such as the FIDE Online Grand Prix series.

Thematic tournaments use the same opening line or a whole week, so that the players have the opportunity to test their ideas with different opponents. The first week of May is dedicated to the Italian game.

Marathons are 20 round competitions. A daily 1 minute bullet competition has been added to the daily schedule.

The next FIDE Online Grand Prix is scheduled for June 3rd 2017. It is dedicated to the memory of Viktor Korchnoi who died last year.

Annual membership for FIDE members costs 25 euros. Players with title GM/WGM and IM/WIM are entitled of free membership. All FIDE and Platinum members are eligible for Amateur titles recognized by FIDE.
