Kasparov will play against Computer again! On August 7 at the press-conference in Jerusalem it was announced that in the capital of Israel, in the period from 1-13 October 2002 there will be a match between Garry Kasparov and current World Champion among computer programs Deep Junior. On August 7 at the press-conference in Jerusalem it was announced that in the capital of Israel, in the period from 1-13 October 2002 there will be a match between Garry Kasparov and current World Champion among computer programs Deep Junior. FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov and Garry Kasparov announced that there will be six games in the match with classic time control and the prize fund of 1,000,000 USD. Without prejudice to the result of the match, the 13th World Champion shall receive 500,000 USD, the balance shall be divided as follows: 3/5 of it will go to the winner, 2/5 will go to the loser. The match, according to the preliminary information shall take place in the fashionable Jerusalem hotel King David. The first game is 1 October. The rest of the games shall be played 3, 6, 8, 10 and 13 Ocotber.
The prize fund of the match which shall be played under the aegis of the International Chess Computer Association is guaranteed by the World Chess Foundation.
