New President of Iran Chess Federation Print

Dr. Ali Asghar GHOLAMREZAIE was recently elected the new president of the I.R.Iran Chess Federation. He won the elections over twelve other candidates, garnering more than 50% of the votes in the first ballot on 21st June 2003. Dr. Gholamrezaie has good experience in chess organization and management at the Bahman Cultural Center. (by web correspondent Mehrdad Pahlevanzade.) Dr. Ali Asghar GHOLAMREZAIE was recently elected the new president of the I.R.Iran Chess Federation. He won the elections over twelve other candidates, garnering more than 50% of the votes in the first ballot on 21st June 2003. Dr. Gholamrezaie has good experience in chess organization and management at the Bahman Cultural Center. In Iran every four years the General Committee of chess which includes 43 persons must elect the new president. The previous president Mr. Mohd. Kambouzia, resigned four months ago.
