The African Junior Championship 2018 was held at J&M Airport Road Hotel in Kampala, Uganda, from 28 December 2018 to 6 January 2019. 
The Chief Arbiter of the championship is IA Hassan Khaled (Egypt). The Open Section Champion is IM Adham Fawzy (Egypt) and the Girls section Champion is WIM Anika Du Plessis (South Africa).
