Chess club Dopravní podnik Prague as part of celebration of the 95th anniversary of the chess club in coopeation with Chess Academy Club organizes 2nd Věra Menchik Memorial on Sunday 10.06.2018 in Prague.

1st Women´s World Champion Věra Menchik

The rapid chess tournament under the auspices of the Mayor of Prague is played in the Public Transport Museum as Open Prague Rapid Championship and is included in the Czech Chess Federation Rapid Grand Prix 2017/2018 as well as ŠK Dopravní podnik Prague UniCredit Grand Prix 2017/2018.



The tournament consists of 9 rounds Swiss System, 12 minutes per game + 3 second per move and will be rated for ELO FIDE Rapid. Financial fund of CZK 35.500.

More then 100 players are currently registered, among them 20 titled players with 2 GM, 1 WGM, 8 IM, 1 WIM. On-line games will be provided from 20 chess boards.
