The Elista FIDE Office is pleased to publish the July 2008 FIDE Rating List which includes tournaments up to 15 June 2008. World Champion Viswanathan Anand retains the top slot but attention has been drawn to the rise of 17-year-old Magnus Carlsen of Norway. Download the July 2008 FIDE Rating List in text format. Search for individual ratings. A number of improvements have been introduced such as color statistics for each player. Players can check in advance calculations of tournaments reported for the October rating list, such as the Aerosvit Tournament in Foros which ended after the closing date of 15 June 2008 for tournaments to be included in the July list.

Mandatory Pre-Registration of Tournaments.

Please note that the pre-registration of tournaments is mandatory. Rating Officers should register their events at least one month in advance on the FIDE Ratings Server. We remind Rating Officers to please upload the pgn files of the tournament to the FIDE Ratings Server.
