Task Force2019 top

Second meeting of the Task Force for the Reform of the FIDE Statutes with the participation of Roberto Rivello, Willy Icklicki, Martin Huba, Aleksandr Martynov, Lakhdar Mazouz, Ken Koort, Francois Strydom and Igor Kogan was held in Lausanne on 6-7 April 2019. Very important is to mention that the meeting was seated in the modern and nice MSI building (House of International Sports) where FIDE has just started its office operations. Sharing the MSI premises with other international sport organisations gives the chess representation the unique opportunity to discuss relevant topics with many competent people in an easy and effective way.

Although not the whole Task Force was present, during an intensive and fruitful work the members elaborated further the structure and content of future FIDE Statutes and agreed on the deadlines and milestones. The specific tasks were divided among individuals and it was decided that the focus of next weeks will be put on individual work and possible comments and suggestions exchange in an electronic communication to increase the efficiency and effectiveness.

The Task Force work is fully devoted to establish a legal framework allowing and supporting the good governance of FIDE and accelerating its performance. FIDE is turning quickly into a modern sport organisation.
